On Friday, the final day of this trading week, the domestic stock market opened weakly. The major indices Sensex and Nifty both started the day on the negative side. On the last trading day of the week, the stock market ended higher. The BSE Sensex increased 123.38 points to 62,027.90 on Friday, while the NSE Nifty gained 17.80 points, causing the Sensex to close above the 18,300 threshold. Today’s opening of 61857 on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s major sensitive index Sensex saw a loss of 46 points. Nifty began trading at a level of 18273, however. The Sensex was down 228 points at 61675 in early trade today. Nifty was down 68 points and trading at 18229, in contrast. Top gainers on the Nifty index included Eicher Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, and Britannia, while top losers included Divis Lab, JSW Steel, Hindalco, BPCL, and Asian Paints. Adani Power, Ambuja Cement, Adani Green, Adani Wilmar, and Adani Port, on the other hand, were in the red. Adani Transmission and Adani Gas had a lower circuit of 5%. NDTV, Adani Enterprises, and ACAC all had positive results.
In the bullion markets, gold is already trending warmer than it was on Wednesday, while silver is appearing to be trending more softly. On the other hand, the price of gold and silver on the MCX is softening. The opening price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold in bullion markets was ₹ 61,539, an increase of just ₹ 44. While its MCX futures price, which was trading at 61150, was down 0.20%. Similar to how gold markets opened, silver fell by ₹ 573 per kg to ₹ 75,688. Silver, on the other hand, was priced at Rs 75888 on the MCX. From its all-time high, gold is now ₹ 200 cheaper in bullion markets.
