Godrej Group purchased the three consumer care brands from the Raymond Group, which is led by Gautam Singhania, for ₹ 2,825 crore. The Raymond group sells the Kamasutra, Park Avenue Perfumes, and KS Deodorant brands. This transaction was completed as a lump sum sale rather than on the basis of individual units. The business will keep producing these brands under contract and selling them to Godrej Consumer Care from its plant in Aurangabad. After Raymond Consumer Care was purchased by Godrej Consumer Products for an all-cash price of ₹ 2,825 crore, the company’s shares fell 2.7%. Meanwhile, shares of Raymond were also down 2.7%.
