The market’s two-day fall came to a stop on Friday, June 2nd. The Sensex finished the week up 118 points at 62,547, while the Nifty 50 finished up 46 points at 18,534. Bank Nifty rose 147 points Thursday to settle at 43,937.
Today, it finished at 27,294, an increase of 163 points, while the BSE Small Cap closed at 30,885, an increase of 174 points.
top Gainers: Tata Steel was Sensex’s biggest gainer today, increasing about 2%. Apart from this, the top gainers were Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Larsen & Toubro, Titan, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, ITC, State Bank of India, and Nestle. Hindalco was the Nifty’s top gainer today, climbing 3.5%. Apart from that, the top gainers today were Hero MotoCorp, Apollo Hospital, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, M&M, Maruti, and Dr Reddy’s Lab.
Top Losers: Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries, and Bajaj Finance were the top losers today in Sensex today. On the other hand, Adani Enterprises, Infosys, BPCL, HDFC Life, TCS, Wipro, Eicher Motors, SBI Life, HCL Tech, and Divis Lab were the top losers in Nifty today.
Crude oil prices have risen, while the rupee has strengthened: Brent crude rose 1.74 percent to $75.57 a barrel, the global oil benchmark.
