On Thursday, BSE benchmark (Sensex) closed at 610.37 points and Nifty closed at 19,523.55 points. The stock markets closed on the green mark on the final day of trading for the week. Metal, financial, and energy stock values increased as a result of favorable developments in the worldwide markets. Nifty Bank, S&P BSE Smallcap, and the Sensex and Nifty all finished on positive notes today. Nifty IT closed on the red mark at the same moment.

The BSE Sensex finished yesterday at 65,828.41, an increase of 320.09 points or 0.49%. At the same time, it increased by 643.33 points or 0.98% throughout the day to reach 66,151.65. Nifty increased 114.75 points or 0.59 percent to settle at 19,638.30. 650 shares finished on the red mark and 1376 shares closed on the green mark on the NSE.

Top Gainers and Losers of the Market

The Sensex chart’s highest gainer stock, up 3%, was NTPC shares. The companies Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, UltraTech Cement, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, Reliance, ICICI Bank, and IndusInd Bank came after were listed in that order. Power Grid, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Titan shares all saw a decline at the same time.

Rupee Strengthened Against Dollar

The rupee increased 14 paise on Friday to end the day at 83.05 (provisional) versus the US dollar. Foreign equities investors’ selling pressure and rising crude oil prices on global markets, according to forex traders, were negative factors for the currency. The rupee began strongly against the US dollar at 83.13 in early morning trade and fluctuated between 83.03 and 83.13 throughout. The final closing price was 83.05 (provisional), up 14 paise from the previous closure. The rupee increased 3 paise to settle at 83.19 on Thursday.
