In a significant move towards women’s empowerment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the ambitious goal of making three crore women in the country “lakhpati didi” (wealthy sisters). Here’s a breakdown of the key points from his recent address:

Mahtari Vandan Scheme Inauguration: – PM Modi virtually inaugurated the ‘Mahtari Vandan’ scheme in Chhattisgarh to provide monetary assistance to women.

Under this scheme, the government pledged to give Rs 1,000 per month to over 70 lakh women.

First Installment Deposited:– The first installment of Rs 655 crore was successfully deposited into the bank accounts of married women beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan scheme.

Virtual Address from Kashi:- PM Modi, speaking from Kashi (Uttar Pradesh), expressed his regret for not being physically present due to other engagements.

He conveyed blessings from the sacred land of Baba Vishwanath to the event attendees.

Prayers for Well-being:- The Prime Minister shared that he offered prayers to Lord Vishwanath on Saturday night, seeking well-being for the people of the country.

Double-Engine Government’s Priority:- Emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment, PM Modi stated that when mothers and sisters are empowered, the entire family gains strength.

The double-engine government of BJP at the Center and in the state prioritizes the welfare of mothers and sisters.

Ujjwala Scheme and Financial Inclusion:- Through the Ujjwala scheme, women have been receiving cooking gas cylinders at subsidized rates.

More than 50 percent of Jan Dhan accounts are in the names of women.

Over 65 percent of Mudra loans have been availed by women.

Impact through Self-Help Groups:– Over the last ten years, the government has positively impacted the lives of more than 10 crore women through self-help groups.

Towards “Lakhpati Didi”:- The government’s efforts have resulted in making more than one crore women ‘lakhpati didi.’

A new resolution aims to fulfill the target of making three crore sisters in the country ‘lakhpati didi.’

Namo Drone Didi Yojana:- The government is actively working on the ‘Namo Drone Didi Yojna,’ providing drones and drone pilot training to selected women self-help groups.

The goal is to offer rental services to farmers for agricultural purposes.

BJP’s Guarantee of Happiness and Prosperity:- PM Modi highlighted that the BJP has given a guarantee of happiness and prosperity.

Chhattisgarh government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has started working towards these guarantees.

Pucca Houses and Agricultural Guarantees:- The government’s commitment includes the construction of 18 lakh pucca houses, with work initiated on the second day of forming the government.

Paddy farmers were assured the payment of outstanding bonuses for two years, with Rs 3,716 crore transferred to their accounts on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary.

Paddy procurement at Rs 3,100 per quintal was fulfilled, setting a record by purchasing 145 metric tons from farmers.

Future Development Plans:– PM Modi assured an increase in development works over the next five years in the state.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and his cabinet colleagues were present at the function, held at the Science College ground.

Mahtari Vandan Scheme’s Impact:- Rs 655 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 70.12 lakh beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan scheme.

Each beneficiary is set to receive Rs 1,000 per month, as outlined by the state government.
