Between February 23 and March 11, 2023, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, spoke at 12 post-budget webinars. The “Saptarishi” Goals defined in the Union Budget 2023–24 were the foundation for these webinars, which were organized by several Ministries and Departments.
The webinars were primarily focused on coordinating the activities of several Ministries and Departments, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to prepare action plans with quarterly objectives so that the implementation is front-ended and easy, and the expected results are timely achieved. To guarantee widespread attendance, they were being held remotely. Concerned Union Ministers, important participants from government agencies, regulators, academic institutions, trade and industry organizations, etc. attended them.
This webinar aimed to stress on green growth, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Harnessing Youth power- Skilling and Education, Reaching the last mile/Leaving No Citizen Behind, Unleashing the Potential: Ease of living using Technology, Urban Development with a focus on Planning, Developing Tourism in mission mode, Infrastructure and Investment: Improving logistic efficiency with PM Gatishakti National Master Plan, Health and Medical Research, Financial Sector and Women Empowerment, PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM VIKAS).
In his remarks to the group, the prime minister emphasized that through these Post Budget Webinars, the government is laying the groundwork for shared ownership and equal collaboration in the budget’s implementation, where the opinions and recommendations of stakeholders are of the highest significance. In response to the topic of “Voice for Local,” the Prime Minister stated that it is a national obligation and not a question of personal preference. Shri Modi remarked on enhanced domestic production and record growth in exports while noting the nation’s enormous support for Voice for Local and aatmnirbharta. “Our exports of both commodities and services have reached an all-time high. The Prime Minister stated that this suggests expanding opportunities for India and urged interested parties, including associations and chambers of commerce, to assume responsibility for promoting regional makers and business owners all the way down to the district level.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of working on a “time-bound mission” to support small businesses and artisans, noting that the Skill India Mission’s training of youth and the establishment of Kaushal Rozgar Kendras have already resulted in the creation of millions of jobs and that skilled artisans are emblems of the true spirit of independent India. Modi was speaking during the final post-Budget webinar on “PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman,” which was the 12th.
For the success of the country’s economic narrative, Modi emphasized the need of empowering rural India, saying: “For this, we would have to operate in a time-bound mission mode.” In addition to maintaining the nation’s rich traditions, he said, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana aims to support small business owners and artists. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing each artisan access to easy financing, training, technical assistance, digital empowerment, brand promotion, marketing, and raw materials through a comprehensive institutional support system. He said that by using the e-commerce business model, companies may potentially develop a sizable market for handcrafted goods. He requested a thorough plan from all parties involved for assisting small companies and artists.
In his last remarks, the prime minister emphasized that everyone in India should benefit from the country’s economic growth and he asked all parties involved to support this goal. He also emphasized the need to have a sizable pool of qualified specialists. I want you all to have a detailed discussion about such futuristic concepts, he said.
