The government will soon introduce ₹100 coins into the Indian market after the introduction of ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, and ₹20 coins, which are already familiar to all of us. The 100th episode of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio program Mann Ki Baat will shortly come to an end. And for this occasion, an official announcement has been made by the Ministry of Finance. A brand-new ₹100 coin will be produced to commemorate Mann Ki Baat’s 100th episode. The coin of ₹100 denomination shall only be created at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government on the occasion of the 100th Episode of Mann Ki Baat.  The biggest denomination circulation currency ever produced was the ₹20 coin in India, and the ₹100 coins will be available soon.

The government will issue a commemorative coin on April 30th, 2023, the day of the radio program Mann Ki Baat’s 100th broadcast. ₹100 Coin will be the worth of the coin. Although commemorative coins are accepted as legal tender, they are rarely distributed widely. They are available from the organizations listed.

Designer 100 Coin

The currency would be distinct from existing ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10, and ₹20 coins, according to a statement from the Finance Ministry.

  • It will have 200 serrations and a 44 mm diameter. The 35-gram coin will be made of a quaternary alloy having a metal composition of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.
  • The Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar will be shown in the center of the coin’s reverse face, with the phrase “Satyamev Jayate” written underneath.
  • The word “Bharat” will be inscribed in Devnagri script along the left perimeter, while the word “INDIA” in English will be written along the right periphery.
  • It must show the international numbers for the denominational value “100” and the “₹” symbol .
  • The year ‘2023’ will also be printed on the coin’s reverse along with the “100th Episode of Mann Ki Baat” emblem, which is a depiction of a “microphone with sound waves”.
  • The words “Mann Ki Baat 100” are printed in Devnagri and English, respectively, above and below the microphone picture.
